[초록]


 이를 위해,본고는 2022년 1학기 수도권에 위치한한 대학에서<사고와표현>을 수강한 외국인 유학생을 대상으로 학문적 문식성에 관한설문조사를 실시했으며 또한 그들이 제출한 보고서를 학술적 글쓰기의 관점에서 분석했다.
 <사고와표현>을 수강하고 있는 외국인 유학생은 한국어 능력은 부족하지만 모국에서 글쓰기 교육을 받았던 경험이 있었으며 또한 자신의 글쓰기 능력에 대해 신뢰하고있었다.높은 쓰기 효능감은 대체로 높은 학술적 글쓰기 효능감으로 전환되는 경우가많다.외국인 유학생들도 마찬가지였다.학문적 문식성에 관한 설문조사 결과,외국인유학생들은 학술적 글쓰기와 관련된 많은 지식과 정보를 숙지하고 있었으며 또한<사고와표현>을 통해 이러한 지식과 정보를 숙지하게 되었다고 답변했다.그리고 이러한이론적 내용들은 실제 학술적 글쓰기에도 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다.
 외국인 유학생은 한국어 능력이 부족하다는 이유로 한국어 중심의 교육을 주로 받아야만 했다.그러나 그들은 한국어 능력과는 별개로 기본적인 글쓰기 능력을 갖고 있었으며 이를 토대로 충분히 학술적 글쓰기를 수행할 수 있다는 사실을 보여주었다.그러므로 외국인 유학생을 대상으로 한 대학 글쓰기 교육은 한국어 능력이 아닌 글쓰기능력을 향상시키기 위한 방향으로 설계되어야만 한다.


 Therefore, a survey on academic literacy was conducted for foreign students who attended a lecture on <Thinking and Expression> at a university located in the metropolitan area in the first semester of 2022; the reports that the students submitted were analyzed from the perspective of academic writing.
 Although the foreign students attending the course on <Thinking and Expression> lacked Korean language skills, they had writing experience in their home country and were confident about their writing skills. High writing self-efficacy typically translates into high academic writing self-efficacy, and this held true for the foreign students as well. According to the academic literacy survey results, the students had considerable knowledge and information related to academic writing.
 They stated that they had acquired this knowledge and information through <Thinking and Expression>, and the theoretical contents of the course had a positive effect on their academic writing skills.
 The foreign students had to receive Korean-centered education because of their lack of Korean language skills. However, they had basic writing skills and were able to perform well in academic writing. Therefore, university writing education for foreign students should be designed in the direction of improving writing ability and, not Korean language ability.
