한국 대학 내 교양과정 중 쓰기 교육 및 교재를 분석했으며, 외국인 유학생을 대상으로 한 설문조사를 통해 유학생들의 한국어 능력 및 협력학습의 필요성을 파악하였다. 설문조사는 2021년 1학기 서울 시내 두 개 대학의 교양과정 수강생인 외국인 신입 유학생 42명을 대상으로 이루어졌다. 설문조사 항목은 학습자의 기본정보, 한국어 학습 경험 및 한국어 능력, 협력학습을 기반으로 한 쓰기 학습에 대한 수요 등으로 구성되었다. 또한 한국어 쓰기 교재에서 다룰 주제에 대한 요구분석도 진행하였다. 설문조사 분석 결과, 절반 이상의 응답자가 쓰기 영역에 가장 자신감이 없다고 답했고, 다수의 응답자는 동료와 함께 작업하는 쓰기 협력학습을 선호하는것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 협력학습 기반의 글쓰기 교재 구성의 기초를다지는 작업을 진행했다. 그 구성 원리로는 첫째, 학습자 수준에 맞는 단계별 구성, 둘째, 말하기, 읽기, 쓰기, 듣기를 통합한 글쓰기 교육, 셋째, 협력학습을 기반으로 한 교수-학습 반영으로 정했으며, 차후 이를 토대로 한 교재를 개발할 예정이다.
Writing education methods and textbooks used in liberal arts classes in Korean universities were analyzed. The Korean proficiency of foreign students as well as the need for collaborative learning were identified through a survey. The survey was conducted on 42 foreign freshmen who took liberal arts classes in two select universities located in Seoul in the first semester of 2021. The survey questions consisted of basic information of learners, their Korean learning experience and proficiency, and the demand for a writing education method based on collaborative learning. As a result, it was found that more than half of the respondents had the least learning confidence in writing, and that a majority of respondents preferred collaborative learning with their peers. This finding served as the basis when laying the groundwork for composing collaborative learning-based writing textbooks. The principles in which the composition process was based on were as follows: first, the differentiation in content composition based on learner fluency, second, the application of writing education integrating speaking, reading, writing, and listening, and third, the reflection of teaching-learning based on collaborative learning. The plan is to further develop the textbook based on these principles.
