Abstract Based on the literature presented in previous studies, this study analyzed the structural relationship between social support, grit, college life adaptation, learning commitment, and academic achievement perceived by foreign students. An online survey was conducted on Chinese international students attending six universities located in Busan Metropolitan City through WeChat. The study period received responses from 263 survey subjects from August 2022 to the end of October 2022, and a total of 231 copies were used for the final analysis study, excluding the questionnaire that responded insincerely. The summary of the analysis results is as follows. First, it can be seen that social support has a significant positive (+) effect on college life adaptation. Second, it can be seen that grit has a significant positive (+) effect on college life adaptation. Third, it can be seen that adaptation to college life has a significant positive (+) effect on academic achievement. Fourth, it can be seen that academic commitment acts as a mediating effect in the influence relationship between college life adaptation and academic achievement. Based on the research results in this study, the implications are as follows. As a way to increase the adaptation of foreign students to college life, in terms of social support and grit, it is necessary to provide opportunities to access various experiences and experience activities such as club and student council activities. In addition, schools actively prepare scholarship programs for international students to strengthen students' academic commitment through this.
