[초록]

 본 연구는 한국어 학습자로서 외국인 유학생의 정의적 요인들 중 언어 학습 동기를 측정해서, 그것이 과제수행에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. Kim[1]이 제안한 (Korean Learning Motivation Scale, KLMS)척도를 사용해서 남녀 외국인 유학생 132명을 대상으로 설문지를 수집했다. KLMS는 총 36문항으로 구성되었고, 개인적 변인을 포함하여, 설문지를 연구 목적에 맞게 수정·보완하여 재구성했다. 본 연구에서 수집한 자료를 분석하기 위해 SPSS 25.0을 사용하였다. 분석 결과에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤고, 학습자의 성향과 학습 스타일, 학습자의 학습 요구에 맞는 수업 방식과 과제 수행을 제안할 필요가 있다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 교사들은 한국어 교과의 목표·교수방법이 부합될 수 있도록 적절한 과제를 제시할 수 있다. 과제 수행 이후에도 학생들에게 피드백을 제시하고, 학습자로 하여금 자신감과 성취감을 고취시킬 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 이를 바탕으로 학습을 촉진하는 언어 학습 동기를 최대화할 수 있도록 적절한 과제와 교수방법을 개발하는데 활용할 수 있다. 연구 참여자인 외국인 유학생들은 한국어 학습에 관한 자신의 언어 학습 동기에 대해 정확히 인식하고 과제를 수행함으로써 수업에 전략적으로 참여할 수 있다.

 This study aims to examine the motivation of foreign students as Korean language learners among the defining and their influence on task performance. Using the Korean Learning Motivation Scale (KLMS) scale proposed by Jung [1], questionnaires were collected among 132 male and female international students. The KLMS consisted of a total of 36 questions, and the questionnaire, including personal variables, was modified and supplemented to suit the purpose of the study. SPSS 25.0 was used to analyse the data collected in this study. The analysis found that learners' motivation had a positive effect on task performance, suggesting that instructors present instructional methods and task performance tailored to learners' tendencies, learning styles, and learners' learning needs. Based on the results of this study, teachers can present appropriate tasks so that the goals and teaching methods of the Korean language curriculum can be met. Feedback should be given to students after the assignment and find ways to inspire confidence and accomplishment in learners. Based on this, it can be used to develop appropriate tasks and teaching methods to maximize learning motivation that promotes learning. International students who participate in the study can participate strategically in the class by accurately recognizing their motivation for learning Korean and carrying out tasks.
