[초록]

외국인 유학생을 위한 취업 관련 교과목 및 특강의 개설 현황과 요구 조사, 취업 관련 한국어 교재를 분석하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 외국인 학생들의 취업 역량 강화를 위해 교양 교과목이 개설되어 있기보다 단기 특강 형식이나 취업 준비 단계에 초점을 둔 교육이 이루어지고 있음을 알 수 있다. 이는 취업 이후의 직장 생활을 위해 필요한 다양한 역량의 학습 기회가 충분히 제공되고 있다는 것을 시사합니다. 둘째, 유학생들은 직장 생활에서 상하 관계 및 동료와의 관계에 따른 호칭, 존대법, 적절한 표현 사용, 관계 맺기 등에 대한 어려움을 겪고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 상황에 맞는 언어적 표현, 직급에 따른 호칭 사용, 동료와 관계 맺기에 대한 교육이 필요하다고 강조하였다. 셋째, 비즈니스 혹은 취업(직업)을 위해 발간된 한국어 교재에서는 전반적으로 회사 업무, 대인관계, 회의 등과 같은 취업 후의 상황을 다루고 있었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 본 연구에서는 외국인 유학생들의 취업 역량 강화를 위한 교육 내용으로 15주에 해당하는 교수요목을 제안하였다. 이를 통해 유학생들은 말하기와 읽기를 중심으로 한 언어 기능을 활용할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 취업 역량을 강화하고 실제 의사소통 상황에서 원활히 사용할 수 있을 것으로 예상된다. 본 연구는 말하기와 읽기를 중심으로 외국인 유학생의 의사소통 능력 및 업무 수행 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 교수요목을 제안하였다는 점에서 의의를 가진다. 또한 이들을 취업 역량 강화 및 경쟁력 있는 인재로 성장시키는 데 실질적인 도움을 제공한다는 점에서도 연구의 의의를 찾을 수 있을 것이다.

We investigated the current status of employment-related courses and special courses for inter national students and conducted a needs survey among international undergraduate students. Also, employment-related Korean textbooks were analyzed. The results are as follows. First, rather than liberal arts courses being offered to strengthen foreign students' employment competency, we observed that education is focused on short-term special lectures and job preparation. This suggests that there are not enough opportunities for students to learn the various competencies needed for working life after employment. Second, international students were found to have difficulties in regards to respect, including using appropriate expressions of respect, and establishing relationships with colleagues in the workplace. In particular international students emphasized the need for education on situational language, using appropriate titles according to position, and establishing relationships with colleagues. Third, the textbooks published for business or employment(vocational) Korean generally dealt with post-employment situations such as company work, interpersonal relationships, and meetings. Based on these findings, this study proposed a 15-week curriculum to strengthen international students'employment competency. Through this, we expect that international students will be able to utilize language skills centered on speaking and reading, as well as strengthen their employment competency and use their language skills smoothly in actual communication situations. The significance of this study is that it proposes a curriculum that can improve international students' communication and work performance skills in relation to speaking and reading. In addition, the study is significant in that it provides practical help in strengthening their employment competency and developing them into competitive employees.
