[국내자료/학술지] 유몽아.2012.중국인 유학생의 대학생활만족도 결정요인에 관한 연구

이를 위해 한국에 유학 온 중국 유학생을 모집단으로 하여 추출된 표본 집단 450명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 응답결과에 대한 자료처리는 SPSS WIN12.0을 이용하였다. 먼저 중국유학생들의 기대치와 만족도에 대한 분석하고 다음으로 공주대학교와 타 대학 간 기대치와 만족도차이분석, 마지막으로 공주대 유학생들의 기대치와 만족도차이분석을 하였다.

본 연구의 내용을 요약하면 다음과 같다.

교육과정에 한국의 대학교들이 외국인 유학생에게 제공하고 있는 교육과정의 경쟁력과 학교수준이미지; 지원프로그램에 대한 유학지원시스템과 학교 안에서 홍보수집프로그램; 교류활동에 자국 유학생 간의 교류와 한국학생과 교류활동; 기숙사 및 편의시설에 학교의 교사시설과 학교 안에 편의시설; 교외요인에 학교주변에 문화 시설과 비자 신청절차에 대한 높은 기대치보다 외국인 유학생들을 만족시키지 못 하는 것으로 나타났다.

이에 따라서 한국대학이나 정부는 외국인 유학생들의 생활과 관련된 정책이나 시설을 개선할 필요가 있다. 예를 들면, 충분한 시설, 설비 확충, 질 높은 교원 확보 등 교육프로그램을 개설할 필요가 있다. 그리고 외국인 유학생에게 학교 홈페이지에 유학생활 관련된 Q&A 사항, 입학, 학사, 등록금, 기술사, 졸업, 취직 등 정보를 제공해주고 자국학생의 교류활동과 한국학생의 교류활동프로그램을 많이 할 수 있도록 개설되어야 할 것이다. 이를 통해서 외국인 유학생들이 한국문화를 더 쉽게 이해할 수 있다. 또한, 교사시설, 교내 편의시설, 학교주변문화시설에 대한 개선을 통하여 유학생활의 질을 높여야 것이다.

This study is based on the questionnaires of 450 Chinese students in Korea, and adopted SPSS WIN 12 .0 for the analysis of the questionnaires. From investigating 450 Chinese International students in Korea, firstly it analyzed the difference between the expectation and the satisfaction of Chinese students. And then it analyzed and compared the difference of expectation and satisfaction by approaching the inner reasons and external reasons with focusing on Chinese students who studying at Kongju National University. Finally it drew the difference between the expectation and the satisfaction for Chinese students of other universities.

The conclusions are as follows:

In order to improve the satisfaction of Chinese students in Korea, Korean universities and Korean government should make a consideration as below.

1. University Education Supply: Each university competitive advantages, Global positioning at each academic part.

2. Inner Campus Supporting Program: Overseas Studying supporting program, each university's independent & unique service center operation.

3. Communication Upgrade Program: Communication among Chinese students and Korean students or other nations students.

4. Foreign Student Welfare Improvement Program: Dormitory, Restaurant, Sports Center, Classroom, Cultural Experience Center etc.

5. External Campus Upgrade Program: Diverse Cultural Experience Opportunity, Student Visa Acquisition Supporting Center, Safety & Healthy Life.

Korean Government needs to have more consideration for Chinese students in future. Because China has held the number one position for last ten years at the ranking of the number of foreign students in Korea for each nation. In addition this trend will not change for a long time in future. Therefore this study would be beneficial for making an effective policy to take more students as well as high quality students from China.
