이 연구는 주요 변수 간의 관계를 검증하기 위하여 유학생DB사이버연구시스템에서 제공하는 ‘외국인 유학생의 학업과 일상’ 연구자료를 주된 분석 자료로 사용하였다. 이 연구에서는 대구·경북지역 대학교에 재학 중인 외국인 유학생 245명의 응답을 분석에 활용하였으며, 빈도분석, 기술통계, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하여 다음과 같은 연구결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 외국인 유학생의 그릿은 유학생활만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 외국인 유학생의 그릿은 전공만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 외국인 유학생의 그릿과 유학생활만족도 간의 관계에서 전공만족도는 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 외국인 유학생을 위한 맞춤형 상담 프로그램 제공, 다양한 정보 전달체계 구축 등 이들의 유학생활만족도를 높이기 위한 제도를 제시하였다.
To explore these relationships, data form the DB Cyber Research System for International Students were used at the primary dataset for analysis. In this study, responses from 245 foreign students attending universities in Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do were utilized for analysis. The following research results were obtained through frequency analysis, descriptive statistics correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that foreign students’ grit significantly affected their satisfaction with studying abroad and major satisfaction. Furthermore, major satisfaction partially mediated the relationship between foreign students’ grit and their satisfaction with studying abroad. Based on theses research findings, a system was proposed to enhance their satisfaction with studying abroad. This could involve implementing initiatives such as providing customized counseling programs for international students and establishing various information delivery systems.
