[국내자료/학술지] 유민애. 2023. 한국어 학습자를 위한 '나름'에 대한 새로운 고찰

[초록]

 국어사 문헌 자료와 현대 국어 말뭉치 자료에 제시된 ‘나름’을 분석하여 부사 ‘나름’의 형성 과정을 확인하였다. 그 결과 국어사 자료에서 ‘나름으로’, ‘X 나름이-’ 형식은 19세기 말에 등장하기 시작한 것으로 보이며, 1960년대 이후 ‘나름대로’ 형식의 출현이 폭발적으로 증가하였다. ‘명사+조사’의 통사적 구성인 ‘나름대로’가 하나의 부사로 어휘화했을 것으로 보이며, 어휘화한 부사 ‘나름대로’는 처음에는 사전상의 의미 그대로 방식부사로만 쓰이다가 평가부사의 용법을 획득하게 된 것으로 추측할 수 있다. 또한 한국어 교재와 사전을 분석한 결과 ‘-기 나름이다’, ‘-ㄹ 나름이다’, ‘명사+나름이다’ 등의 용법만이 한국어 교재와 사전에 제시된 반면 외국인 한국어 학습자들은 ‘나름’의 부사적 용법을 스스로 인지하여 자연스럽게 사용함을 확인하였다. 이는 ‘나름’의 문법 정보와 실제 사용 양상에 차이가 있다는 것을 의미하며, 한국어 교재와 사전에서 ‘나름’의 문법 정보에 ‘나름(대로)’의 방식부사와 평가부사 용법과 그 의미를 포함할 것을 제안하였다.

 The formation process of the adverb “nareum” was confirmed by analyzing Korean history literature and modern Korean corpus data. The results show the forms of “nareum-eulo” and “X nareum-i-” in Korean history materials began to appear at the end of the 19th century, and the appearance of “nareum-daero” form exploded after the 1960s. It seems that “nareum-daero” was lexicalized as an adverb, and “nareum-daero” was initially used only as a manner adverb and then acquired the usage of an adverb of evaluation. Additionally, only the usage of “-gi nareum-ida,” “-l nareum-ida,” and “noun + nareum-ida” are presented in Korean textbooks and dictionaries, whereas foreign learners of Korean were recognized and used naturally the adverb usage of “nareum”. This indicates a difference a difference between the grammatical information of “nareum” and the actual use pattern. Based on this, it was proposed to include the usage and meaning of the modal adverb and evaluation adverb of “nareum-daero” in Korean textbooks and dictionaries.
