본 연구는 Allen과 Meyer(1990)의 조직몰입 3요인 모델을 기반으로 사람중심접근법에 기초한 잠재프로파일분석을 활용하여 외국인 유학생들(n=614)의 대학몰입 유형 탐색과 대학몰입 프로파일 유형에 따른 대학 적응 및 학업관련 행동(예: 전공만족도, 편입의도, 조직(대학)시민행동)의 차이점을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 대학몰입 프로파일은 완전 몰입형, 무몰입형, 중간 몰입형의 3개 유형으로 도출되었고, 외국인 유학생 대학몰입 프로파일 유형별 편입의도에서만 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었고, 전공만족도와 조직(대학)시민행동에는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 다항로지스틱 회귀분석을 통해 외국인 유학생의 인구통계학적 변인(성별, 나이, 체류기간, 학년, 출신국가)과 도출된 대학몰입 프로파일 유형 간의 연관성을 검증하였으나 통계적으로 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 외국인 유학생들의 대학몰입 연구에 있어 방법론적으로 새로운 패러다임을 제공하였고, 효율적인 유학생 관리방안을 마련할 수 있는 기초 자료로 활용될 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to explores the different types of foreign university students’ university commitment profile(n=619) based on the Allen and Meyer’s(1990) three component model of organizational commitment. In order to identify the patterns of foreign university students’ commitment profiles, this study utilized a latent profile analysis. As a result, three commitment profiles (Fully committed, Uncommitted, Moderately committed) to university were identified. These profiles were then contrasted with major satisfaction, organizational(university) citizenship behavior and turnover intentions. Results showed that there were no statistical differences regardless of the patterns of foreign university student’s university commitment profiles. Furthermore, a multinominal regression analysis was performed to examine how foreign students universality commitment profiles are associated with demographic variables (ex., sex, age, duration of staying, grade, nationality). Unfortunately, there were no relationship between student commitment profiles and demographic variables. This study discussed implications and practices for foreign students management.
