본 연구는 외국인 유학생을 위한 교양학위 과정으로 ‘한국학 교육과정’을 제안하는 데 목적이 있다. 이에 본고는 유학생을 위한 교양학위 개발에 대해 제안하고자 교양학위의 운영 현황을 조사하고, 유학생을 위한 교양 교육의 체제를 분석하였다. 그리고 외국인 유학생을 위한 교양학위로서 ‘한국학 교육과정’을 제시하였다. 이는 학령인구 절벽 시대에 한국 사회가 다문화 사회로서 더욱 성숙하고 진일보한 사회로 거듭나는 데 있어 대학이 해야 하는 역할과 방향성 제시에 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구의 내용이 캠퍼스의 국제화에서 나아가 지역과 국가의 국제화를 견인하는 데 하나의 방향성을 제시하는 밑거름이 되기를 기대한다.

This study aims to suggest ‘Korean studies curriculum’ for foreign students as aliberalartsdegree course. In order to suggest the development of theliberalartsdegree, we investigated a current operation status of theliberalartsdegree and analyzed a system of liberal arts education for foreign students. And also, we proposed ‘Korean studies curriculum’ for foreign students as aliberalartsdegree. As we are going through the era of the school-age population cliff, this study will help to suggest a role and a direction for the universities in Korea so that Korean society can be more mature and advanced as a multi-cultural society. We hope that the content of this study will serve as the basis to give a direction for leading the internalization of regions and countries beyondthe internalization of campuses.
