[논문 초록]
이 연구는 외국인 유학생의 한국 정주 체류 장벽 사례를 고찰함으로써 분석되어 나온 결과물을 토대로 외국인 유학생의 한국 정주 체류 방안을 살펴보는 데 목적을 두었다. 연구 방법으로 외국인 유학생 한국 정주 체류 상황을 3가지로 분류해 고찰하였다. 3가지 분류 유형은 눈덩이 표집 방식으로 연구 참여자를 모집한 후 심층 면담을 진행하였으며, 수집된 자료는 해석학적 분석 절차에 따라 처리하였다. 이는 ‘구직 비자 연장 장벽’, ‘E-7 비자 발급 장벽’, ‘전공 관련 취업 장벽’, ‘한국어와 취업 교육 장벽’, ‘체류 기간 장벽’, ‘사회보장제도 및 동반가족 지원 장벽’을 살펴보았다. 이어 외국인 유학생과 법무부 간의 긴밀한 협조, 빅데이터 기반 AI 플랫폼 구축의 필요성, 정주 한국어가 바탕이 된 온라인 학습법 필요성 등을 제언하였다.
The purpose of this study was to examine ways for foreign students to permanently stay in Korea through examples of barriers to their permanent stay in Korea. For this purpose, the circumstances of foreign students' residential stay in Korea were classified into three categories and examined. In-depth interviews were conducted with research participants recruited through snowball sampling, and the collected data were processed according to hermeneutic analysis procedures. As a result of the analysis, 'barriers to job-seeking visa extension', 'barriers to E-7 visa issuance', 'barriers to major-related employment', 'barriers to Korean language and employment education', 'barriers to period of stay', and 'barriers to social security system and accompanying family support'. appear. Based on this, close cooperation between foreign students and the Ministry of Justice, a big data-based AI platform, and an online learning method based on Jeongju Korean were suggested.
