[국내자료/학술지] 민정호.2020.박사 과정에서 WAW를 활용한 쓰기 교육 방안 탐색 －박사 유학생의 ‘학술 논문’ 완성을 위한 수업 설계를 중심으로－

본 연구는 WAW 접근법이 학술 담화공동체에서 박사 유학생의 상황을 고려했을 때 교육적 적합성을 갖는다고 판단했다. ‘학술 논문’을 써야만 하는 박사 유학생의 학습자 특수성을 고려해서, 이때 도움을 줄 수 있는 학술 논문 수업을 WAW 접근법으로 설계했다. 강의 초반부에는 글쓰기와 쓰기 교육 분야의 논문을 읽고, 반성적 과제와 발견학습을 진행한다. 강의 후반부에는 협력적 글쓰기를 통해서 학위논문의 주제로 학술 논문 쓰기를 한다. 중간과제는 반성적 과제를 정리한 성찰 노트와 학술 논문 설계 보고서를 제출하는 것이고, 기말과제는 학술 논문 계획서를 제출하는 것이다. 이 수업은 박사 교육과정에 WAW 적용 가능성과 실제 수업 설계 모형을 자세하게 설명했다는 점에서 의미가 있다. 그렇지만 논문 목록의 정교함, 맥락 집약적인 교수⋅학습 전략 등을 자세하게 제시하지 못했다는 한계가 있다. 이와 같은 한계를 극복하는 후속 연구가 진행되어서 박사 유학생이 학술적 리터러시를 확보하고 학술 논문을 완성하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있기를 바란다.

In this study, the WAW approach is considered to have educational appropriateness in the light of situations of foreign doctoral students in the academic discourse community. Especially, giving consideration to when foreign doctoral students should write ‘Academic Papers’, this study aims to design an Academic Papers instruction, which is helpful to this situation and apply WAW to this instruction. The early part of the instruction is to read papers of domestic researchers regarding writing and conduct reflective tasks and heuristics. The later part of the instruction is to write Academic Papers, which mirror ‘collaborative writing’. For this instruction, reflective assignments and assay design reports are midterm tasks, and final tasks are to submit Academic Papers revision plans. This instruction has significance by providing detailed explanations of the WAW applicability to the doctoral training course and the actual instructional design model. On the other hand, this study fails to propose the exquisiteness of the paper list and context-intensive teaching and learning strategies in detail. Nevertheless, it is anticipated that relevant further studies will help a learning transfer from foreign doctoral students’ writing knowledge and writing experiences of foreign doctoral students to practical writing.
