해마다 증가하고 있는 유학생은 한국 대학교의 주요 구성원이 되고 있다. 특히 중국 국적의 유학생은국내 유학생의 다수를 차지하고 있는데, 한국과 중국의 문화가 전통 사상과 종교 등에 있어서 여러부분을 공유하고 있는 점은 이들을 대상으로 한 한국문화 교육에서 흥미로운 질문들을 생성한다. 이에본고는 중국인 유학생들이 한국문화와 중국문화를 어떻게 인식하고 있는지, 두 문화가 유사하다고생각하는지, 또한 이러한 인식이 한국문화 학습과 관계가 있는지를 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 해서 연구를진행했다.
 이를 위해 국내 A대학교에서 <한국문화의 이해>라는 한국문화 교양강의를 수강한 중국인 유학생을대상으로 설문조사의 방법을 통해 예비조사와 본조사를 두 차례에 걸쳐 실시했다. 그 결과, 중국인유학생은 한국문화를 긍정적으로 인식하고 있으며, 전통적인 문화보다는 현대적인 문화로 받아들이는것으로 나타났다. 모국문화인 중국문화 또한 긍정적으로 인식하고 있음을 보였다. 하지만 중국문화는현대적인 문화보다는 전통적인 문화로 평가했으며, 오래된 전통에 대한 자부심도 발견되었다. 또한두 문화는 대체로 유사하다고 인식하고 있으며, 두 문화의 유사도가 한국문화를 공부하는 데 도움을주었다고 평가했다. 나아가 한국문화에 대한 긍정적인 인식과 문화학습의 만족도 사이에서 상관관계가있음이 확인됐다.


The number of international students studying in Korea is increasing annually. Thus, such students are comprising a greater and greater portion of the student body at Korean universities. In particular, Chinese students account for the majority of international students in South Korea. The fact that the Korean and Chinese cultures share some aspects of traditional thought, as well as certain religious aspects, creates some interesting questions when it comes to Korean culture education for these students.
 Therefore, this study was conducted to find out how Chinese students perceive Korean culture and Chinese culture, for example, whether they think the two cultures are similar, and whether this perception is related to their studies in Korean culture.
 To this end, two separate surveys were given to Chinese students who were enrolled in a Korean culture course called at A University in Korea on two separate occasions. The results showed that Chinese students positively perceive Korean culture, and that they believe it to be a contemporary culture rather than a traditional one. Furthermore, this study also showed that the students also positively perceive their own native Chinese culture. However, these students regarded Chinese culture as a traditional one rather than as a contemporary culture. Moreover, we noted in their answers a degree of pride concerning their Chinese traditions. Students also acknowledged that the two cultures were generally similar, and reported that the similarities between them helped them to better learn about Korean culture. Finally, we were able to confirm through this study that there is a correlation between the positive perception of Korean culture and the satisfaction of Korean culture learning.
