성찰적 글쓰기는 인지적, 정서적, 신체적인 면에서 긍정적인 효과가 많은 장르로, 이를 활용하면유학생의 한국어 능력 향상은 물론 자기 성찰, 인격 형성을 통해 유학 생활을 스스로 성공적으로 이끌어가는 데 도움이 될 것이다. 대학의 교양 교육과정은 주로 한국 대학생들 위주로 편성되어 왔고 외국인유학생들을 위한 한국어 교양 교육과정은 문법과 회화의 정확성과 유창성에 치중해왔다. 한국어의정확한 구사 능력은 한국 유학 생활의 필수적 조건이지만 이것이 유학을 성공적으로 마칠 수 있다는것을 의미하지는 않는다. 이 연구는 대부분의 대학이 제공하는 교양 글쓰기 수업에서, 외국인 유학생들이성찰적 글쓰기 과정을 통해 자기 성찰, 타인과의 공감과 소통 과정을 겪으면서 한국어 글쓰기 능력을향상시키고, 성공적인 유학 생활을 도울 수 있는 수업 사례를 소개하고자 한다. 이 연구ㅁ에서 제시된성찰적 글쓰기 수업은 대화주의적 관점을 이론적 배경으로 하며 필자와 독자의 대화, 다성성, 타자화를중심으로 자기 이해와 성찰, 공감과 소통의 과정으로 상호순환적으로 진행하였다. 성찰적 글쓰기를통한 성찰과 소통의 경험은 외국인 유학생들이 교양 교육과정이 추구하는 인문학적 소양, 융합적 사고능력, 올바른 인성 함양의 목표에 도달하게 해 주며 한국 사람들과 함께 한국 사회와 대학에 적응을하는 데 큰 도움이 될 것이다.
Reflective Writing is a genre that provides many positive effects for foreign students in terms of cognitional, emotional and physical effects. Reflective writing ie used to improve the Korean language skills for foreign students. Furthermore, it also help them to successfully complete their own studies abroad through self-reflection and character-building.
The liberal arts curriculum, which aims to foster skills in the humanities, convergent thinking skills, and to help shape the characters of students, is still composed mainly of Korean university students. Moreover, the Korean liberal arts curriculum for foreign students has focused on fostering accuracy of grammar and conversation. Being proficient in Korean is a prerequisite for studying in Korea, but speaking Korean accurately does not mean that one will successfully complete one’s studies abroad.
In the liberal writing classes offered by most universities, the study introduced a case of classes where students can develop their Korean writing skills and lead a successful life in Korea by allowing them to undergo self-reflection, empathy with others and communication processes through reflective writing. The Reflective Writing courses presented by this study are conducted in a reciprocal cycle of self-understanding, self-reflection, and empathy, communication.
