In this study, a class was suggested to arouse learners' interest in reading topics through Korean movies, build background knowledge, and expand foreign students' critical literacy through discussion and writing in the advanced Korean reading class. The class was conducted for 14 weeks for 12 advanced learners in graduate school, and the class consisted of pre-reading, post-reading, and post-reading stages. In the pre-reading stage, materials for understanding movies are provided and tasks for watching movies were presented. In the reading stage, text was read and understood with the goal of learner-centered reading through guide questions. In the post-reading stage, supplementary materials that can deepen and supplement the reading text were presented, and based on this, learners conducted individual writing or summary of discussion after group discussions or overall discussions. As a result of the class, learners showed a high understanding of reading texts and reading topics, and it was confirmed that critical literacy was created through learners' discussions and writing contents.
