[논문 초록]


본 연구는 외국인 유학생 중 몽골 유학생을 대상으로 대학생활 적응에 영향을 미치는 요인을 알아보고 외국인 유학생의 대학생활 적응에 대한 전반적인 요인을 파악하여 향후 적응을 위한 지원 방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 설문조사를 통해 자료를 수집하였으며, 몽골 유학생 중 어학연수생과 교환학생, 학부생, 대학원생을 모두 연구 참여자로 선정하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 유효한 212부의 설문지를 최종 분석 자료로 활용하였으며 SPSS for Windows 20.0 version 프로그램을 이용하여 자료를 분석하였다.
본 연구결과에 따르면 첫째, 몽골 유학생의 개인적 특성(성별, 연령, 결혼여부, 종교, 건강상태, 동거가족, 한국어 능력, 영어능력, 학업과정, 등록금 및 생활비 조달방법, 체류기간) 중 5개의 특성이 대학생활 적응에 유의한 차이를 나타냈다.
둘째, 몽골 유학생의 문화적 요인(t=4.388, p<.001), 경제적 요인(t=3.378, p<.001), 언어적 요인(t=2.657, p<.001)은 대학생활 적응에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 모두 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다.
본 연구에서는 외국인 유학생의 대학생활 적응요인에 대하여 살펴보고, 연구대상자의 일반적 특성과 언어적 요인 외에 문화적, 경제적 요인이 대학생활에 영향을 미치는지에 대하여 연구하는데 의의가 있다. 더불어 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 외국인 유학생들에게 좀 더 좋은 유학 환경을 제공하고, 더 많은 유학생 유치를 위해서는 결과적으로 외국인 유학생의 대학생활 적응이 선행되어야 한다는 시사점을 제시하고 있다.


The following research is to understand what influential factors affecting adapting to the campus life to mainly Chinese and Mongolian international students. Along with finding out the overall factors of adjustment that will point out the direction for support. Data was collected by carrying out surveys by International Mongolian language course students, exchange students, undergraduate and graduate students. We final analyzed the 212 survey’s data by using SPSS for windows 20.0 version program.
According to the research findings, firstly, out of the many personal characteristics of the international Mongolian students (Gender, age, marital status, religion, health status, family living together, Korean proficiency, English proficiency, academic courses, tuition and living expenses, supply method of money, duration of stay) five characteristics seem to have importance in adapting to the campus life.
Secondly, International Mongolian student’s cultural factor (t=4.388, p<.001), economic factor (t=3.378, p<.001), language factor (t=2.657, p<.001) each affected a positive influence in adjusting to the campus life
The following research examined the influential factors to international foreign students adapting to the campus life, and researching how the research subject’s personal characteristic, language factor, culture and economic factor influences campus life itself has significance. Furthermore, to provide a better study environment and to attract more international foreign students, consequently we must propose the importance of proceeding international foreign student’s adaption of the campus life.
